Overview: When Media Image Group was tasked with creating an online TV experience for Hansen Information Technologies, they turned to SiteForm for the development of the single source media player. The challenge was to create a single player that could house unlimited channels, unlimited episodes and an unlimited number of groupings of episodes, referred to as shows. An additional and most important requirement was that the player be fully self sufficient, requiring no extra programming to make edits to channels, episodes and shows.
We created a single data-driven media player using Flash 7 and 8 that could accommodate any number of channels, episodes and shows. Working very closely with Media Image Group’s Creative Director, we built a navigational system that is both intuitive and extremely flexible.
On the back end, we built an administration area that allows Media Image Group to upload new episodes and assign them to multiple channels and shows. They have full control over every element of the player and continue to add new episodes and channels on an ongoing basis.
