Melissa, an award-winning chef and featured cook on PBS's Texas Provincial Kitchen, wanted to launch a website and newsletter to fulfill the many request her viewers had for recipes, cooking supplies, and kitchenware she discussed on her show.
SiteForm was involved in the design of the Melissa Guerra brand from day one. We worked with Melissa to develop a logo emphasizing the site's Mexican theme. The logo you see in the upper left corner looks great online and offline - she uses it on her letterhead, package labels, newsletter masthead and more. Websites are meant to be visual. Melissa Guerra is a great example of such. She sells many items that customers don't know by name, but saw in her show or in a favorite Mexican restaurant they frequent. We use large, descriptive photography on the category pages to help the visitor spot exactly what they want - even if they don't know what it's called. Another advantage of website over print is the ability to provide the customer with plenty of additional information to help them make a purchase decision. For example, when selling Chile's, Melissa found it useful to include a large page full of additional information to help novice Mexican cooks learn which chile will perfect for their next recipe. No way would she have room for all this information on a catalog page!
Needless to say, Melissa's site also includes plenty of recipes as well. The beauty of a website is that it's there for the visitor 24-7! Her viewers don't need to scribble the recipes while watching her show - the simply visit the site after viewing. And once they know the site is there, they come back again and again and again!
